Member Information & Privacy Policy Statement

BLD Connection does not sell, rent, or distribute member mailing lists. Supplier (Associate) Members do not receive contact lists for Retail/Dealer Members or any other member segment. Access to contact information is limited to the specific, approved purposes outlined below, such as inclusion in the DRM, official communications from Endorsed Vendors, or event-related networking lists.

Member information is used solely for official BLD Connection purposes and communications. The only exceptions to this policy are:

1. Annual DRM – Member Directory & Buyer’s Guide
   The DRM serves as a valuable industry resource and is distributed exclusively within the membership network. Inclusion in the DRM is considered a benefit of membership and is the only instance in which limited contact information is made available for reference purposes.
2. Endorsed Vendors
   BLD Connection may provide limited member contact information to its Endorsed Vendors — program or service providers partnered with BLD Connection to deliver exclusive member benefits. This information is shared only to assist with the marketing and communication of approved member benefit programs or services. Such vendors are required to adhere to strict data privacy and communication guidelines established by BLD Connection.

Because members have not expressly opted in to receive unsolicited communications from other members, BLD Connection cannot and will not provide contact details for such purposes. This approach ensures compliance with federal communication regulations and protects our members from unwanted email or marketing outreach. 

3. Event Exhibitors & Sponsors
   From time to time, BLD Connection partners with trusted exhibitors and sponsors to provide meaningful event experiences and networking opportunities for members. In these cases, limited attendee information may be shared only for registered event participants and only in connection with that specific event. Information shared typically includes:

• • Company name
  • Contact name
  • City and state

No personal email addresses, phone numbers, or other sensitive contact details are distributed without explicit consent. This limited data sharing helps our event partners connect with attendees in a relevant and responsible manner while maintaining BLD Connection’s commitment to member privacy and compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act.

Event partners may use this limited information only for event-related follow-up and not for ongoing marketing or solicitation. 

Data Security

We take precautions to protect member information. Any sensitive information submitted to BLD Connection is protected both online and offline through reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. Only employees who need information to perform a specific job (for example, billing, membership support, or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable data. The systems in which we store such information are maintained in secure environments. 

Member Access and Control

Members may contact BLD Connection at any time to:

• See what information we have about them, if any
• Request corrections or updates to their information
• Request deletion of their information
• Express any concerns about the use of their data

Policy Updates

BLD Connection reserves the right to update or revise this privacy policy at any time. Members will be notified of significant changes through official communications or website updates. Continued membership or engagement after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
